|Address:||612 East High Street|
|Year Built:||c. 1855|
The house is said to be the first structure built in the Watson Addition, an early extension of the residential neighborhood along East High Street. The house may have been occupied by Joseph Watson, an Irish immigrant for whom this section of the city was named, who was a very successful attorney. Sandwiched between two newer homes, the house has had many additions and alterations throughout its history. Some of these additions include the front porch, and the sidelights and transom that surround the front door.
